| \ in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Geology with honors as a McNair Scholar,\

| \ Eric started working in the mining industry logging core, running borehole\

| \ surveys, and analyzing subsurface structures. The volatility of the industry\

| \ coupled with the months away from his family led him to leave the world of\
| |
| \ carbonatite behind and seek work with the USGS, an organization that he admired\
| |
| \ for the quality of data and publications that they produced. Eric started\

| \ his career with the USGS in 2016 as a recent graduate hydrologic technician\
