"abstract": "On July 5\u201319 (cruise 13BIM02) and August 22\u2013September 1 (cruise 13BIM07), 2013, the\u00a0U.S.\u00a0Geological Survey (USGS) conducted geophysical surveys to investigate the geologic controls on barrier island evolution and medium-term and interannual sediment transport along the oil spill mitigation sand berm constructed at the north end and offshore of the Chandeleur Islands, Louisiana. This investigation is part of a broader\u00a0USGS\u00a0study, which seeks to understand barrier island evolution better over medium time scales (months to years). This report serves as an archive of unprocessed digital chirp subbottom data, trackline maps, navigation files, Geographic Information System (GIS) files, Field Activity Collection System (FACS) logs, and formal Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) metadata. Gained\u2013showing a relative increase in signal amplitude\u2013digital images of the seismic profiles are provided. Refer to the\u00a0Abbreviations\u00a0page for explanations of acronyms and abbreviations used in this report.",
