"abstract": "These remotely sensed, geographically referenced elevation measurements of light detection and ranging (lidar)-derived seamless (bare-earth and submerged) topography datasets were produced by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS),\u00a0St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Science Center,\u00a0St. Petersburg, Florida.\nThis project provides datasets acquired on August 7 and 8, 2012, for a portion of the Chandeleur Islands, Louisiana. An innovative airborne\u00a0lidar\u00a0system, known as the second-generation Experimental Advanced Airborne Research\u00a0Lidar\u00a0(EAARL-B), was used during data acquisition. The\u00a0EAARL-B system is a raster-scanning, waveform-resolving, green-wavelength (532-nanometers)\u00a0lidar\u00a0designed to map nearshore bathymetry, topography, and vegetation structure simultaneously.\nFor more information about similar projects, please visit the\u00a0Lidar for Science and Resource Management\u00a0Web site.",
