       "abstract": "Katie is a Hydrologic Technician with years of experience in a variety of settings across the United States. She is experienced with surface water, water quality, and groundwater. Well versed in both analytical and field procedures, having completed a MS degree, published literature, and managed hydrologic field operations for government, non-profit, and private organizations. Her undergraduate and graduate research specialized in arid springs in Texas, Arizona, and Nevada. In 2016, Katie became Lead Hydrologic Technician for two National Parks in Alaska. In 2018, she began her career with  the USGS in Grand Junction, CO. In 2020, Katie became the Hydroacoustics Specialist for the Western Colorado USGS office. In 2023, she became an instructor for a national class teaching foundational streamgaging principles. Her focus has always been on producing the best possible water data for cooperators, agencies, and the public, and now she has the satisfaction of educating, and supporting others to do the same."
