       "abstract": "Marsha Gipson began her USGS career in 1994 as a hydrologic technician at the Arkansas Water Science Center working on groundwater projects, then later moved over to stream gaging. In 2011, Marsha transferred to the Nevada Water Science Center in Carson City where she served as the Northern Nevada Field Office Chief, leading a diverse team in the collection of hydrologic data for an extensive network of over 180 surface water, groundwater, and water-quality sites located throughout 66,236 sq mi in Northern Nevada.In June of 2022, Marsha joined the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center where she serves as the North Texas Branch Chief in Fort Worth. Marsha has a strong background in data collection, supervision, and leadership. In her free time, Marsha enjoys hiking, snow skiing, fishing, and reading a good book."
