       "abstract": "Renee began working at the USGS Nebraska Water Science Center in the summers of 2007 and 2008 as a contract student through University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). She graduated from UNL with a bachelor\u2019s degree in water science and officially started full-time in Spring of 2009. Renee grew up spending time at the Twin Platte Natural Resources District learning about Nebraska groundwater and developed a passion for the study of water in Nebraska. \"I started measuring groundwater levels and walking across the Platte River when I was 8 years old. To this day I enjoy my fieldwork in any kind of weather and hope to continue doing so until I have to retire.\" Renee acts as the National groundwater database manager for Nebraska\u2019s discrete groundwater levels."
