Necropsy and histology evaluations from clinically abnormal tortoises revealed multiple physiological complications, with moderate to severe rhinitis or pneumonia being the primary cause of morbidity in all but one of the examined animals. Improved methods for health assessments are an important element of monitoring tortoise population recovery and can support the development of more robust diagnostic measures for ill animals, or individuals directly impacted by disturbance.", "descriptionType": "Abstract" } ], "geoLocations": [], "fundingReferences": [], "url": "https://www.sciencebase.gov/catalog/item/592f6cdde4b0e9bd0ea7955f", "contentUrl": null, "metadataVersion": 5, "schemaVersion": "http://datacite.org/schema/kernel-4", "source": "mds", "isActive": true, "state": "findable", "reason": null, "viewCount": 0, "downloadCount": 0, "referenceCount": 0, "citationCount": 0, "partCount": 0, "partOfCount": 0, "versionCount": 0, "versionOfCount": 0, "created": "2017-07-12T18:21:05Z", "registered": "2017-07-12T18:21:06Z", "published": null, "updated": "2024-06-14T17:41:15Z" }
