   "abstract": "The Asian clam (Potamocorbula amurensis) has played a key role in the food web of northern San Francisco Bay since its invasion in the fall of 1986. It has been associated with a dramatic decline in primary production, loss of a zooplankton species and a native mysid shrimp, the probable decline in striped bass, and has introduced alternative pathways for contaminant cycling in the bay food web.",
