While living in Sioux Falls, Tim worked as a business manager in the corporate world for three years, eventually starting his own therapy company.After five years as a business owner, Tim returned to government service as an Active Duty Iowa National Guard Officer, where he spent 22 years. While raising his family in the Des Moines area, his service included command positions in Counterdrug; Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN); and Emergency Response programs working with law enforcement and the State of Iowa Office of Homeland Security. During this time, Tim was the Iowa National Guard State Deployment Officer, facilitating the deployment of over 5,300 soldiers in three years, including his own deployment to Panjshir, Afghanistan, in 2010.Tim\u2019s Senior Leadership positions included tours as a Brigade Level Commander, the State Director of Personnel, and the Iowa Army National Guard Chief of Staff.
