Serving as a public information specialist for 7 years with a state natural resource and federal health organization, she gained tremendous understanding on the complexities and public attitudes towards natural resource conservation and public health, and the ability and importance for communicating scientific information using a variety of mechanisms to diverse audiences.Megan also brings more than 10 years of experience working with several private companies to develop and implement strategic communication and marketing campaigns to amplify messages and secure brand affinity.  Here she acquired experience in strategically utilizing social media, websites and other communication platforms.Most recently, Megan has owned and operated her own photography business for the past 13 years. Her photography passion is grounded in creating meaningful and impactful images of people and wildlife.In her role as public affairs specialist, Megan will work alongside members of EESC\u2019s Partner and Employee Engagement Team and closely with the USGS Office of Communications and Publishing (OCAP) to develop the strategies, information and images to tell the story for how EESC\u2019s talented employees are providing scientific information to enable are partners and the public to make informed decisions and help ensure our nation\u2019s natural resources can be enjoyed by generations of today and tomorrow.",
