     University. Before joining the Survey, he worked as a hydrographer on a NOAA
     research vessel mapping the bathymetry of the ocean floor and served as a park
     ranger in Denali National Park. His current research interests include water
     use associated with hydraulic fracturing, pressure regimes in sedimentary basins,
     geographic information systems, and remote sensing.
