     systems and physical geography, and gained a strong knowledge of field methods
     and site assessments. Upon graduating, he has gained practical work experience
     conducting water quality, and river flow assessments for conservation purposes,
     before eventually joining the USGS. At the New England WSC he performs surveying
     field work, which collects data for approximate modeling and flood mapping.
