   personal_statement: Brian received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
     from the University of New Hampshire, and then served in the United States Marine
     Corps where worked on biofuel mixtures for generator power and solar powered
     water purification units in Afghanistan. Since then he also gained hydrologic
     experience while rebuilding dams and outfitting for hydroelectric power. He
     is currently working on the FEMA floodplain mapping project.
