He started with the US Geological Survey in Southern Oregon, and since 2001, he has been working for the USGS in Western Colorado. He worked for many years as a multi-disciplined hydrologic technician, measuring streamflow, collecting water-quality samples, and servicing continuous water-quality monitors throughout Western Colorado. Then he became a Lead hydrologic technician, and later started his current role as a Supervisory Hydrologic Technician in 2015. He oversees the operation of the Western Colorado Streamflow Program and supervises an amazing team of hydrologic technicians who operate approximately 120 streamgage stations and about 40 precipitation and reservoir monitoring locations.
