     Scholar working in Japan during 2008-09. He started working for the USGS in
     1990 as a student. He has worked on hydrologic studies in Oregon, Hawaii, Guam,
     Japan, the Marshall Islands, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, and
     Diego Garcia.
