Our research focuses on characterizing the mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of deep-sea minerals including seafloor massive sulfides, ferromanganese crusts, and polymetallic nodules. I participate in oceanographic research expeditions and assist in laboratory management, sample processing, and data analysis. Prior to the USGS, I worked at the University of California Santa Cruz as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar, Project Scientist, and Lecturer. There I specialized in the biogeochemical cycling of mercury in the ocean, completed several projects on marine plastic pollution for the National Geographic Society, and participated in four U.S. GEOTRACES transects in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic Oceans. professional_experience: - "2019–2022: Project Scientist & Lecturer, University of California Santa\ \ Cruz, Santa Cruz, CA" - "2018–2019: Visiting Scientist, Moss Landing Marine Laboratories, Moss\ \ Landing, CA" - "2015–2018: Postdoctoral Research Scholar, University of California Santa\ \ Cruz" - "2018–2021: Lecturer, Physical Sciences Department, West Valley College,\ \ Saratoga, CA" - "2019–2021: Lecturer, Biology & Chemistry Department, California State\ \ University Monterey Bay, Seaside, CA" title: Oceanographer
