"description": "Herein we present a simulation model to predict future prey and hunter populations in a stochastic population simulation model. In the simulation script the two populations (prey and hunters) are linked through feed back functions, where the hunters can affect the prey abundance through harvest rate and harvest success functions, and the prey affects hunter population retention and recruitment. The script allows the user to adjust the season length (i.e., number of days in the hunting season), the timing on the season (i.e., during or not during the mating season), the daily bag limit for female prey, and the season length bag limit for male prey. The model is parameterized to mimic deer populations in Alabama, but could be adjusted to fit any prey and hunter population. Note the script uses the package "svMisc" to keep track of the simulation progress.",
