         "abstract": "As a Peace Corps Volunteer, I worked at the Raung Volcano Observatory in East Java, Indonesia. I acted as regular observatory staff \u2014 noting activity, writing reports, etc. We also installed several temporary and permanent seismic stations. In Singapore, I taught introductory geology classes in the classroom and field to Nanyang Technological University's first cohort of undergraduate students in the Earth Sciences discipline. As a member of VDAP, I work as an operational seismologist \u2014 responding to inquiries form partners and maintaining monitoring software. I also co-teach the seismology section at the Center for the Study of Active Volcanoes. In my free time, I enjoy running, biking, and skiing. With enough effort, I forget that I was raised in Dallas, Texas.",
