"abstract": "Sally was born and raised in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school, she moved to Oahu, Hawaii in order to pursue her passion for environmental science by attending Hawaii Pacific University . While on Oahu, Sally realized she learned best from field experience and transferred to Unity College in Central Maine. At Unity College, Sally received a hands on education and spent most of her time in a stream, a soil pit, or in the laboratory. While in Maine, she became very interested in hydrology, geomorphology, GIS, and natural disasters. After graduating from Unity in December 2016, Sally moved to Ames, Iowa to begin her Master\u2019s degree with Dr. Peter Moore. Their research focused on how riparian land-use alters stream morphology in Iowa. After graduating from Iowa State, Sally migrated back to Oahu, Hawaii to work at the Pacific Islands Water Science Center as a Hydrologic Technician. During her time in Hawaii, Sally managed field sites on Oahu and Guam. In 2021, she began working at the New Jersey Water Science Center as a Hydrologic Technician."
