     since 1986. He works on the biostratigraphy, paleoclimate, and paleoecology
     of the Coastal Plain, Piedmont, Blue Ridge, Midcontinent, Colorado Plateau,
     Basin and Range, and Sierra Nevada using fossil pollen and spores. He is located
     in the Florence Bascom Geoscience Center.
