   Earthquake seismology; tsunamigenic earthquakes and tsunami geology; ambient seismic
   noise and generation of microseisms; seismic networks and instrumentation; natural
   hazards.

   Brief biography

   Since 2012, at Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics, Scripps Institution
   of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego, supporting operation of
   Global Seismograph Stations operated by UCSDs Project IDA.

   Ph.D. (2012) and M.S. (2009) from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA.  Advisors
   Dr. E. A.  Okal and Dr. S. Stein.

   2005 to 2007, at Joint Oceanographic Institutions (JOI), Washington, DC, supporting
   participation of U.S. scientists in the International Ocean Drilling Program (IODP).

   1998 to 2005, employed at Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO),
   Provisional Technical Secretariat, International Monitoring System (IMS) providing
   expertise and technical skills and carrying out fieldwork collecting seismic and
   geological data; managed pool of noise site-survey equipment toward establishment
   of new seismic stations (single 3-component stations and 9-element arrays) contributing
   data to IMS.

   1994 to 1998: PASSCAL Instrument Center at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of
   Columbia University of New York.  Provided instrumentation and field support for
   seismological research programs in New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Tibet,
   and the U.S.
