Biography: I am a vertebrate paleoecologist, taphonomist, and zooarchaeologist. Current projects include my role as co-director of the interagency and interdisciplinary Hagerman Paleontology, Environments, and Tephrochronology (PET) Project and my work on Pliocene carnivorans at Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument (Idaho, USA), ongoing research on the Pleistocene avifauna of Olduvai Gorge (Tanzania), and recent and planned research on the origins of dog domestication (Czech Republic). I am always looking for new avenues of research, exploration, collaboration, and adventure.
