   abstract: Julia has worked with USGS to survey restoration areas with remote sensing
     and field techniques, classify floodplain vegetation, and represent river data
     in interactive web-based platforms.Prior to joining the USGS in 2022, Julia
     worked as a Geomorphologist with the Headwaters Corporation. In that role, she
     applied remote sensing expertise to support the Platte River Recovery Implementation
     Program (PRRIP) and NRCS with decision-making concerning large-scale river conservation
     management and flood hazard analysis.Julia is a graduate of the Colorado State
     Fluvial Geomorphology lab, with Dr. Ellen Wohl as advisor. Her graduate work
     focused on constraining human impact and the role of large wood in eolian-fluvial
     environments in Colorado.
