personal_statement: Clint received a master's degree in Geology with a focus on
hydrology and geochemistry from Northern Illinois University. Since 2013, his
research has focused on surface water quality, green infrastructure, and maintaining/operating
a Geoprobe drilling rig. Other research interests include soil science and groundwater/surface
water interactions. Presently, his research includes working on the Great Lakes
Restoration Initiative Asian Carp studies focusing on testing alternative barriers
to Asian Carp migration, in particular the injection of carbon dioxide as a
barrier technology. Currently, he is also working with the Fox River study group
to monitor water quality on the Fox River in Illinois, as well as with Chicago
Public Schools, Openlands and Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater
Chicago (MWRD) on the Space to Grow green infrastructure monitoring study located
at various Chicago area public schools.
