     USGS in 1998 as the Deputy Center Director at the USGS Center for Biological
     Informatics. Mike now serves as the Associate Program Coordinator for the Science
     Synthesis, Analysis, and Research (SSAR) Program and the Deputy Director of
     the Science Analytics and Synthesis organization in Core Science Systems.
