This directly supports the mission to improve data discoverability, accessibility, and reusability of the Coastal and Marine Hazards and Resources Program (CMHRP) and center\u2019s published scientific data. Her educational background is in environmental science and geographic information systems (GIS), with an emphasis on integrating geospatial technology with natural sciences to enhance public outreach and knowledge of USGS research.Her current duties at the USGS SPCMSC include the management of center data releases in the Information Product Data System (IPDS) and center-lead metadata reviewer and curator. She maintains a vast knowledge of policies and procedures for Fundamental Science Practices (FSP) and metadata standards (FGDC and ISO) to ensure published data and metadata are consistent with FSP and accessible under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. She is also the center-lead for desktop and cloud GIS administration and is the manager of the center\u2019s geological core and sample inventory and database."
