He has worked with numerous subject matter experts to develop desktop software to run ecological models, and has played an ongoing role in the development of a desktop modeling data visualization platform, the EverVIEW Data Viewer. Other recent projects include a series of relational databases to capture and analyze biological monitoring data, as well as web mapping applications to present such data to public audiences. Much of the work Suir has participated in can be found on the Joint Ecosystem Modeling web site. additionalType: personal statement email: suirk@usgs.gov hasCredential: [] hasOccupation: - '@type': OrganizationalRole affiliatedOrganization: '@type': Organization name: Wetland and Aquatic Research Center url: https://www.usgs.gov/centers/wetland-and-aquatic-research-center roleName: Computer Scientist startDate: '2024-05-12T16:00:05.727431' identifier: - '@type': PropertyValue propertyID: GeoKB value: https://geokb.wikibase.cloud/entity/Q49644 - '@type': PropertyValue propertyID: ORCID value: 0000-0003-1570-9648 jobTitle: Computer Scientist knowsAbout: - '@type': Thing additionalType: self-claimed expertise name: data integration - '@type': Thing additionalType: self-claimed expertise name: data management - '@type': Thing additionalType: self-claimed expertise name: database administration - '@type': Thing additionalType: self-claimed expertise name: improvement of scientific data usability - '@type': Thing additionalType: self-claimed expertise name: software development - '@type': Thing additionalType: self-claimed expertise name: web service development - '@type': Thing additionalType: self-claimed expertise name: web interface development memberOf: '@type': OrganizationalRole member: '@type': Organization name: U.S. Geological Survey name: staff member startDate: '2024-05-12T16:00:05.724611' name: Kevin Suir url: https://www.usgs.gov/staff-profiles/kevin-suir
